Who we are
TwinSprout is run by Rebekah, who is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact her by email at hello@twinsprout.co.uk or by direct message on Instagram at @twinsprout.co.uk.
What we collect
When you browse. This website is hosted by Squarespace, which automatically collects technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you view and the site you came from. This is used to run the site securely and to produce anonymous visitor statistics.
Cookies. See the Cookies section below.
Free tools and downloads. The Twin Deadline Planner works entirely in your browser. The dates and details you put in are not sent to us or stored anywhere. The feeding tracker and feeding chart are ordinary files: you don't need to give an email address or any other details to download them.
When you contact us or share your story. If you email us or message us on Instagram, we receive your name, your username and whatever you choose to tell us. Twin mum stories can include sensitive information about health, such as pregnancy, birth or mental health.
How we use it, and why we're allowed to
— Running and improving the site, and replying to your messages: our legitimate interest in operating TwinSprout.
— Publishing your story: only with your explicit consent. You choose whether to be named or anonymous, and you approve the final version before it goes live. You can withdraw your consent and have your story removed at any time.
We won't publish your children's full names or other details that could identify them. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Cookies
We use essential cookies so the site works properly. Analytics cookies (Squarespace Analytics) are only set if you accept them through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences button at the bottom of the screen.
Who we share it with
— Squarespace, which hosts the website and provides analytics.
— Meta (Instagram), if you contact us there or your story is shared there, and Apple (iCloud Mail), if you email us.
Each has its own privacy policy. Some of this information may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States, with the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep it
— Messages: up to 12 months after our conversation ends, unless your story is published.
— Published stories: for as long as they're on the website or Instagram, or until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal information, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, move it to another service, and withdraw your consent. Email hello@twinsprout.co.uk or message us on Instagram and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Other websites
We link to other websites, such as GOV.UK and UK charities. We're not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if anything changes, and show the date at the top.
Terms of Use & Disclaimer
By using TwinSprout you agree to these terms.
Not professional advice
TwinSprout shares one twin mum's personal experience and general information. It is not medical, mental health, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from your GP, midwife, health visitor, pharmacist or another qualified professional. Always follow current NHS and Lullaby Trust safer sleep guidance for your babies. In an emergency call 999, or NHS 111 for urgent medical advice.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep information accurate and up to date, but benefits, rates and official guidance change, usually every April. We can't guarantee everything is complete or current, so please check GOV.UK or the relevant organisation before making decisions. You can read how we check our facts.
Products and other websites
Products mentioned on TwinSprout are personal picks. We are not paid to recommend them, and if that ever changes we will clearly label it. We link to other websites for your convenience but are not responsible for their content.
Twin mum stories
Stories are shared with the writer's permission and reflect their own experience and opinions, not advice. They may be lightly edited for length and to protect privacy.
Copyright and photos
All text and photos on TwinSprout belong to Rebekah unless stated otherwise. Please don't copy, download or reuse them, especially photos of my children, without permission. You're very welcome to share links to any page.
Liability
As far as the law allows, TwinSprout is not liable for any loss or harm arising from use of this website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
